Home of Brandon's $7.95 oil change*
Your engine is the heart of your automobile. As it runs, hundreds of moving parts are working together to make your vehicle move.
Changing your oil according to your vehicle manufacturer's recommendation is, perhaps, the single most important maintenance that you can perform to keep your vehicle running. As the parts in your engine work together, they create tremendous heat through friction. Without oil, the heat would actually melt these parts together. By having oil in your vehicle, the moving parts of your engine remain lubricated- reducing the friction and, consequently, the heat. Motor oil also contains special additives to help your engine work more efficiently.
To make sure your engine is protected at all times, your vehicle manufacturer recommends changing the oil and oil filter regularly. This helps to keep your engine working at it's fullest potential and helps to avoid costly repairs down the road.
if you own or operate a vehicle, you should be aware of general oil change information, guidelines and procedures that are required by your vehicle's manufacturer, in order to properly maintain your vehicle. We recommend that you have the oil in your vehicle changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. You should know that regularly changing the oil in your engine will help protect it from the wear and tear associated with heat and keep your vehicle running at its best.
Your engine needs constant lubrication to prevent friction and heat from climbiung past tolerable levels. That lubrication comes in the form or motor oil. Over time, the oil in your vehicle's engine will accumulate dirt, debris and other particles. If these elements gain access to your engine, the can cause damage and early wear and tear. Your oil filter is the only protection your engine has from these particualtes.
Motor oil is sent from your oil pump to your vehicle's crankshaft, valve train and other components. On the way, it passes through the oil filter. This filter separates all the dirt and particulates that have accumulated in your oil, keeping them safely out of your engine's moving parts. Over time, this continual collection of debris will lead to your filter being clogged. Once clogged, it needs to be replaced to continue to allow the steady flow of oil.
