Manual Transmissions and Clutches

Your Clutch

Nearly all modern manual transmissions today use a hydraulic clutch. This hydraulic system is similar to your vehicle's braking system.

And also, like brake fluid, dirty and contaminated clutch fluid is a leading cause of clutch failure.

Regular maintenance and flushing of the clutch system is much less expensive than waiting for a costly failure- such as a clutch master or slave cylinder.

Clutch Inspection

If your clutch begins to slip, chatter or refuses to engage or disengage, you may be tempted to assume a clutch replacement is in order. Come to Absolute Automotive and get the peace of mind you need with a full clutch inspection.

Our ASE Certified technicians will inspect the entire clutch system to enusre the clutch pedal's free-play and linkages are within specifications.

Should your clutch need to be replaced, rest easy knowing that our ASE Certified technicians are fully qualified to get the job done right the first time. Our technicians will inspect the flywheel system for excessive wear and even resurface it to ensure the new clutch engages and disengages perfectly.

How often should I have clutch maintenance (fluid flush) performed?
It is recommended to have your clutch fluid flushed every 2 years or 30,000 miles.
